Bryan Walkinshaw vs Tim Ruddock

Boxing Daily Report from the 5th Dimension Promotions promoted show at Coventry Gabriel, Coventry,  taking place on 18/05/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the British-Central England Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bryan Walkinshaw (23(9) - 3) who hails from Birmingham, UK and Tim Ruddock(13 - 6(3)) from Birmingham, UK.  Walkinshaw weighed in at 154 pounds, while Ruddock weighed in at 153 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Paul McCalla, and the three ringside judges are Stuart McCormick, Irfan Assaf and Paul McCalla.  

Round 1: 

Walkinshaw gets on the inside.  Ruddock throws a left hook, but Walkinshaw ties up his opponent.  Ruddock pushes his forearm into Walkinshaw's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ruddock about fouling.  
Ruddock feints a left hook, and then strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Walkinshaw closes the distance.  Ruddock tries to land a left hook, but Walkinshaw sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Walkinshaw lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Ruddock pivots to the right of his opponent.  Walkinshaw digs in a right hook to Ruddock's body.  
Walkinshaw gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to Ruddock's body.  
Walkinshaw throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Walkinshaw digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Walkinshaw closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Walkinshaw throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Walkinshaw holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Walkinshaw pushes his forearm into Ruddock's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Walkinshaw.  
Ruddock attempts to land a cross, but Walkinshaw sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Walkinshaw lands a right hook.  Walkinshaw attempts to land a right hook, but Ruddock parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Walkinshaw lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Ruddock connects with a cross.  
Walkinshaw steps inside.  Ruddock quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ruddock attempts to land a left hook, but Walkinshaw blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Walkinshaw forces Ruddock to back into the ropes.  Walkinshaw hits home with a firm right hook.  
Walkinshaw is on target with a right hook to Ruddock's body.  
Walkinshaw lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Walkinshaw quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into Ruddock's body.  
Ruddock forces Walkinshaw to back into the ropes.  Walkinshaw finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Walkinshaw steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Walkinshaw throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Walkinshaw gets on the inside.  Walkinshaw quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Ruddock sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Walkinshaw lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Walkinshaw lands a jab to the head, a cross to the head and a right hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ruddock's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Ruddock's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

It looks like Ruddock has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Walkinshaw crashes a DEVASTATING right uppercut to Ruddock's ribs.  RUDDOCK IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE RUDDOCK THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Walkinshaw!
