Danny Griffith vs Arthur Lang

Boxing Daily Report from the Ognjen promoted show at Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco,  taking place on 15/06/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Danny Griffith (3(2) - 0) who hails from Nashville, USA and Arthur Lang(2 - 0 - 1) from Denver, USA.  Griffith weighed in at 129 pounds and 14 ounces, while Lang weighed in at 130 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Edward Danskin, and the three ringside judges are Morgan Kneeland, Billy Fergusson and Peter Look.  

Round 1: 

Griffith advances into close range.  Lang throws a left uppercut, but Griffith holds on to his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Griffith walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Lang throws a left hook, but Griffith ties up his opponent.  Griffith pushes his forearm into Lang's face.  The referee warns Griffith and breaks the clinch.  
Griffith lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Lang recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Griffith lands a sharp left uppercut.  Griffith clinches his opponent.  Griffith leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Griffith's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Griffith connects with a left hook.  
Griffith closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Griffith is on target with a left uppercut to Lang's body.  
Griffith feints a cross, but Lang does not fall for it and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Griffith steps inside and drives a stinging right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  Griffith holds on to his opponent.  Griffith is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Griffith about fouling.  
Griffith gets on the inside and drives a firm left hook into Lang's liver.  Griffith holds on to his opponent.  Griffith tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lang's kidney. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Griffith lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Griffith clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Lang pushes his forearm into Griffith's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lang about fouling.  
Griffith is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Griffith advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Griffith lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Griffith lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Griffith digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Lang walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Griffith drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Griffith is on target with a solid left hook.  
Griffith lands with a stiff jab.  
Griffith advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Griffith drives a stinging left hook into Lang's body.  Griffith ties up his opponent.  Griffith uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Lang behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Griffith.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lang's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Lang's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Griffith hits home with a solid left hook.  Griffith ties up his opponent.  Griffith uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Lang behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Griffith to stop fouling.  
Griffith pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Griffith closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Griffith lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Griffith lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Griffith attempts to land a right hook, but Lang blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Griffith walks Lang into the blue corner.  Griffith lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Griffith pivots to the side of his opponent.  Griffith lands a right hook.  Griffith ties up his opponent.  Griffith pushes his forearm into Lang's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Griffith to stop fouling.  
Griffith hits home with a solid cross.  
Griffith gets on the inside and drives a sharp right hook into Lang's body.  
Griffith lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Griffith lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Griffith advances into close range and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Lang almost instantly recovers. 
Griffith lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Griffith sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Griffith throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Griffith holds on to his opponent.  Griffith leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Griffith to stop holding.  
Griffith lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Griffith lands a left uppercut, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
It looks like Lang has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Griffith is on target with a stinging cross.  
Griffith gets on the inside and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Griffith walks Lang down, trapping him in a corner.  Griffith lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Griffith knows Lang is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Griffith lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND SENDS LANG TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Griffith lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body, AND SENDS LANG SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 9.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Lang's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Lang's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Griffith cuts off the ring, trapping Lang in the blue corner.  Griffith whips in a nasty left hook to Lang's body.  LANG IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Griffith SLAMS a HUGE right uppercut into his opponents face.  LANG IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT LANG CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Griffith!
