Mohsin Amer vs Umair Mekky

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Suez promoted show at Haaris Ally Gym, Suez,  taking place on 25/06/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Egypt-Suez Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mohsin Amer (12 - 16(3) - 3) who hails from Suez, Egypt and Umair Mekky(9(3) - 1) from Suez, Egypt.  Both Amer and Mekky weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Waqar Abdelghany, and the three ringside judges are Mohsin Mubarak, Amjad Saad and Rehman Khokhar.  

Round 1: 

Mekky gets on the inside.  Amer tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut to Amer's liver.

Mekky lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Amer recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Mekky attempts to land a cross, but Amer sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Amer throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mekky closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Amer tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.  
Amer steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Amer lands an overhand left.  
Amer finds the target with a jab.  
Mekky closes the distance.  As Mekky tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Amer dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Amer's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Amer's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Amer's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
