Dom Kay vs Paul Ines

Boxing Daily Report from the Phantom Fights promoted show at Maple Gym, Toronto,  taking place on 18/07/2039:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Ontario Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dom Kay (9 - 11 - 3) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Paul Ines(4(1) - 2) from Toronto, Canada.  Kay weighed in at 139 pounds and 12 ounces, while Ines weighed in at 139 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is John Short, and the three ringside judges are Bruce Hutchison, Nick Nicolson and Jamie Barclay.  

Round 1: 

Kay advances into close range.  Ines lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ines lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ines manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Ines lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kay dabs at his face checking for damage.  Kay has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
