Santiago Vas vs Diego Machado

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Estadio Antonio Maceo, Santiago de Cuba,  taking place on 30/07/2039:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Santiago Vas (1(1) - 0) who hails from Goiania, Brazil and Diego Machado(1 - 0) from Havana, Cuba.  Vas weighed in at 112 pounds, while Machado weighed in at 111 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Baxa, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Yanez, Juan Sahagun and Pedro Atienza.  

Round 1: 

Vas advances into close range and hits home with a firm left hook.  
Vas lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Vas is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.

Machado throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Vas steps inside and lands a right hook.  Vas clinches his opponent.  Vas is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Vas forces Machado to retreat into the blue corner.  Vas lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Vas connects with a left hook.  Vas clinches his opponent.  Vas pushes his forearm into Machado's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Vas to stop fouling.

Vas pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Vas gets on the inside.  Machado throws a left hook, but Vas holds on to his opponent.  Vas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Vas to stop holding.  
Machado throws a left hook, but Vas clinches his opponent.  Vas leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Vas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Vas has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

Vas lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MACHADO!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Vas!
