Dale McClarty vs Jonathan Smyth

Boxing Daily Report from the Elliot Britton promoted show at Elliot Gym, Bristol,  taking place on 08/08/2039:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Dale McClarty (0 - 0) who hails from Huddersfield, UK and Jonathan Smyth(2 - 3) from London, UK.  McClarty weighed in at 129 pounds and 10 ounces, while Smyth weighed in at 129 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is James Gourcuff, and the three ringside judges are Henry McQuiston, Kian McGowan and Davie Sean.  

Round 1: 

McClarty lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

McClarty steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  McClarty ties up his opponent.  McClarty is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks McClarty's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McClarty is on target with a right hook.  
McClarty manouvers Smyth into a corner.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to McClarty.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
McClarty digs in a right hook to Smyth's ribs.  
McClarty quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
McClarty hits home with a left hook.  
McClarty lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McClarty manages to force Smyth onto the ropes.  McClarty lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Smyth has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
McClarty tries to land a jab, but Smyth blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Smyth manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  McClarty lands a cross.  
Smyth drives a right hook into McClarty's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Smyth's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Smyth's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

McClarty forces Smyth to back into the corner.  McClarty lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
