Vitali Bagan vs Paul Speirs

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at University of Phoenix Stadium, Phoenix,  taking place on 14/10/2039:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Vitali Bagan (6(4) - 0) who hails from Kharkiv, Ukraine and Paul Speirs(26 - 9(2) - 2) from Oklahoma City, USA.  Both Bagan and Speirs weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Tarbet, and the three ringside judges are Zachary Davies, Ashley Probert and Louis Glasco.  

Round 1: 

Speirs steps inside.  Bagan is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Bagan attempts to land a left hook, but Speirs slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Bagan steps inside.  Speirs drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Speirs sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bagan is on target with a FEARSOME cross.  SPEIRS IS HURT!  Speirs almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Bagan steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Bagan lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Bagan connects with a firm cross.  Bagan attempts to land a jab, but Speirs sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Speirs pivots to the side of his opponent.  Bagan hits home with a left hook.  
Bagan steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Bagan lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Speirs sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Speirs cuts off the ring, trapping Bagan on the ropes.  Bagan lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Bagan lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Speirs is looking to close the distance.  Bagan lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body, DROPPING SPEIRS TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Bagan lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS SPEIRS SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  It looks like Speirs has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Bagan lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Bagan steps to the outside.  Speirs throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a BRUTAL right hook.  SPEIRS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Speirs now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Bagan is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a stiff jab.  
Speirs lands a jab.  
Bagan is looking to close the distance and slams a big left hook into his opponents liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE SPEIRS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Speirs quickly recovers. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bagan's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Speirs's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Speirs's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Bagan switches the action to the outside and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Bagan is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a nasty cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE SPEIRS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Bagan is looking to force the stoppage!  Bagan lands a hurtful left hook.  SPEIRS IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT SPEIRS CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Bagan!
