Jeraldo Palomo vs Jose Lovato

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Stanford Stadium, San Francisco,  taking place on 14/01/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jeraldo Palomo (41(37) - 1(1)) who hails from Las Vegas, USA and Jose Lovato(30(6) - 16(11) - 1) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Palomo and Lovato weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mason Boyter, and the three ringside judges are Lewis Mein, Paul Ross and Tobias Brash.  

Round 1: 

Palomo closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Palomo lands a stinging left hook.  
Palomo walks Lovato down, trapping him on the ropes.  Palomo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Lovato's body.  
Palomo lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Lovato is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a cross, but Palomo sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Palomo hits home with a left hook.  
Palomo lands a stinging jab.  
Lovato lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Palomo steps inside.  Lovato connects with a stinging left hook.  
Palomo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a VICIOUS left hook.  LOVATO IS HURT!  Lovato almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Palomo throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Palomo lands a cross followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Palomo is looking to close the distance.  Palomo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Lovato almost instantly recovers. 
Lovato tries to land a left hook, but Palomo sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Lovato lands a jab.  
Palomo gets on the inside.  Lovato throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Lovato attempts to land a jab, but Palomo slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Palomo steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Palomo closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Palomo manages to force Lovato onto the ropes.  Palomo connects with a left hook.  
Palomo hits home with a right uppercut.  
Palomo drives a stinging left hook into his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lovato's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Lovato's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Lovato switches the action to the outside and connects with a sharp cross.  Lovato tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Palomo connects with a hurtful left hook.  LOVATO IS HURT!  
Palomo stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Palomo lands a cross, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES LOVATO!  He is back up on his feet at 7.

Palomo clinches his opponent.  Lovato is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Palomo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Palomo gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Palomo advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Lovato recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Palomo lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND LOVATO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Palomo gets on the inside.  Palomo senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Lovato and just needs the right shot.  Palomo lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS LOVATO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Lovato cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Palomo!
