Montgomery Papin vs Ray Gide

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Cameroon-Littoral promoted show at Amissah Gym, Douala,  taking place on 20/10/2039:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cameroon-Littoral Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montgomery Papin (6 - 5(1) - 2) who hails from Douala, Cameroon and Ray Gide(11 - 17 - 2) from Douala, Cameroon.  Both Papin and Gide weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ross Dipanda, and the three ringside judges are Benedict Ekwe, Adalard Obier and Colar Kwin.  

Round 1: 

Papin lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Gide connects with a cross.  
Gide feints a jab, but Papin does not fall for it and responds with a right uppercut.  
Gide advances into close range.  Gide wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Papin dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Gide tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Papin's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Papin's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Gide pivots to the right of his opponent.  Gide tries to land a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.
