Michael Halbert vs David Schade

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Colorado promoted show at Colorado Springs Walker, Colorado Springs,  taking place on 07/11/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mountain West Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Halbert (4 - 16(2) - 2) who hails from Westminster, USA and David Schade(22 - 19(2) - 8) from Arvada, USA.  Both Halbert and Schade weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Patrick Mawhinney, and the three ringside judges are Gus Nickson, Joe Deans and Alec Speir.  

Round 1: 

Halbert lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Halbert tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to his opponents body.  Halbert tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Schade is on target with a jab.  
Schade closes the distance and connects with a right hook.  
Schade lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Halbert steps away from his opponent.  Schade sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Halbert lands an overhand left.  
Halbert attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Schade time to recover.  
Halbert feints a jab, but Schade does not fall for it and lands with a cross.  
Halbert tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a jab.  
Schade is looking to close the distance and forces Halbert to back into the ropes.  Schade connects with a left hook.  
Halbert pivots from in front of his opponent.  Halbert throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Schade to the neutral corner.  He warns Halbert that continued fouling will result in a point deduction.  
Schade is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Halbert's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Schade's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.
