Cris Rondon vs Fausto Corong

Boxing Daily Report from the Felix Orcales promoted show at Enzo Tungpalan Gym, Dasmarinas,  taking place on 10/12/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Cavite Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cris Rondon (5 - 14 - 3) who hails from Dasmarinas, Philippines and Fausto Corong(9 - 27(3) - 7) from Imus, Philippines.  Both Rondon and Corong weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ramiro Irong, and the three ringside judges are Gervasio Maggay, David Verdejo and Montenegro Padagas.  

Round 1: 

Rondon tries to keep the action at long range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Rondon connects with a right uppercut.  
Rondon lands a cross.  
Rondon attempts to land a jab, but Corong slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Rondon closes the distance.  Corong sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Rondon connects with a right hook.  
Rondon steps to the outside and is on target with a cross.  Rondon throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Rondon is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Corong slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Corong gets on the inside.  Corong sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Rondon wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Corong dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Corong.  That has caused swelling  around the right eye.

Rondon is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a cross, but Corong sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Rondon's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Rondon's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
