Aaron Riddell vs Oscar Materoa

Boxing Daily Report from the Nkoloma Promotions promoted show at Manukau Hogg, Manukau,  taking place on 15/12/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Aaron Riddell (24 - 16(3) - 2) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Oscar Materoa(28(2) - 15(4) - 1) from North Shore, New Zealand.  Both Riddell and Materoa weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bryan Swineford, and the three ringside judges are Justin Kahukakanui, Kahorere Hakaipari and Henry Ngahoro.  

Round 1: 

Materoa steps inside.  Riddell pivots to the side of his opponent.  Materoa lands a stinging right hook.  Materoa tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid right hook.

Riddell hits home with a left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Materoa.  That has caused a slight cut above the right eye.  .  
Materoa attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Riddell's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
