Khankishi Mirziyev vs Brandon Meikle

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Copper Box Arena, London,  taking place on 14/01/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Khankishi Mirziyev (18(13) - 0) who hails from Dushanbe, Tajikistan and Brandon Meikle(10 - 4(3) - 1) from Limerick, Ireland.  Both Mirziyev and Meikle weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Barron, and the three ringside judges are Joe Dempster, Peter Arras and Ian Pryce.  

Round 1: 

Mirziyev is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mirziyev lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mirziyev EXPLODES a FIERCE left hook into his opponents face.  MEIKLE IS HURT!  Meikle quickly recovers. 
Mirziyev pivots to the side of his opponent.  Meikle throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mirziyev walks Meikle into a corner.  Mirziyev lands a left hook to the head followed by two right uppercut's to the body.  Mirziyev ties up his opponent.  Mirziyev is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mirziyev about fouling.  
Mirziyev advances into close range and throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Mirziyev ties up his opponent.  Mirziyev leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mirziyev lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Meikle finds the target with a jab.  
Meikle steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Mirziyev sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mirziyev lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Mirziyev gets on the inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mirziyev steps inside and drives a weighty left hook into his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MEIKLE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Mirziyev ties up his opponent.  Mirziyev is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Mirziyev's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mirziyev senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Meikle and just needs the right shot.  Mirziyev lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body, AND SENDS MEIKLE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Mirziyev crashes a big right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  MEIKLE IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Meikle now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Mirziyev drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  
Mirziyev lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mirziyev lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Meikle's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Meikle's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Mirziyev quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to Meikle's liver.  
Mirziyev digs in a telling left hook to his opponents body.  MEIKLE IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Mirziyev lands a left hook to the body, a cross to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Mirziyev closes the distance.  Meikle throws a right hook, but Mirziyev holds on to his opponent.  Meikle is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mirziyev is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Mirziyev is looking to close the distance and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Mirziyev is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Mirziyev slams a spiteful left hook into his opponents ribs.  MEIKLE IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Meikle now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Mirziyev advances into close range and whips in a spiteful right hook to Meikle's body.  MEIKLE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Meikle almost instantly recovers. 
Mirziyev pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mirziyev is looking to close the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Meikle dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Mirziyev walks his opponent into a corner.  Mirziyev digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Mirziyev lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
The right shot from Mirziyev could be enough to force the stoppage!  Mirziyev is on target with a potent left hook to Meikle's body.  MEIKLE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.

Meikle pivots to the side of his opponent.  Mirziyev lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND DROPS MEIKLE TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Mirziyev!
