Yohann Gauer vs Winfield Mehr

Boxing Daily Report from the Kaiser promoted show at Wilburn Stockel Gym, Lubeck,  taking place on 22/12/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Germany-Schleswig-Holstein Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yohann Gauer (11 - 20(1) - 5) who hails from Lubeck, Germany and Winfield Mehr(10(3) - 2 - 1) from Kiel, Germany.  Both Gauer and Mehr weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Webber Maixner, and the three ringside judges are Aksel Bessel, Burnard Laake and Rolt Abeln.  

Round 1: 

Mehr lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Mehr tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Mehr is looking to close the distance.  Gauer throws a left hook, but Mehr ties up his opponent.  Mehr leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Mehr uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Gauer's kidney. The ref breaks Mehr's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mehr steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Gauer in the blue corner.  Gauer throws a left uppercut, but Mehr holds on to his opponent.  Mehr pushes his forearm into Gauer's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mehr lands a sharp jab.  
Mehr lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Mehr tries to keep the action at long range and lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Mehr lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mehr switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Gauer is on target with a right hook to Mehr's ribs.  Gauer throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Mehr lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Mehr walks Gauer down, trapping him in the corner.  Mehr lands a spiteful jab.  
Mehr is looking to close the distance.  Mehr sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Mehr advances into close range and drives a right hook into Gauer's ribs.  
Mehr gets on the inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Mehr holds on to his opponent.  Mehr pushes his forearm into Gauer's face.  The ref breaks Mehr's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mehr lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Mehr steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mehr closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gauer's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Gauer's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Mehr switches the action to the outside and throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Mehr is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left uppercut to Gauer's body.  Mehr ties up his opponent.  Mehr pushes his forearm into Gauer's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mehr about fouling.

Gauer switches the action to the outside.  Mehr senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Gauer and just needs the right shot.  Mehr digs in a potent left uppercut to Gauer's ribs.  DOWN GOES GAUER!  He manages to get up at 6.  Gauer now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Mehr is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Mehr lands a FIERCE left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE GAUER WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Gauer steps away from his opponent.  Mehr thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Gauer away.  Mehr lands a left hook, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the body, a cross to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  
Mehr gets on the inside.  Mehr lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DROPS GAUER TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Mehr!
