Robert Betton vs John Denholm

Boxing Daily Report from the Mandale Boxing Promotions promoted show at Kingston Cay, Kingston,  taking place on 20/12/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Robert Betton (2 - 0) who hails from Portmore, Jamaica and John Denholm(1 - 1(1)) from Kingston, Jamaica.  Both Betton and Denholm weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Geoff Torrence, and the three ringside judges are Neil Harp, Rob Tedford and Cole Cromie.  

Round 1: 

Denholm throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Betton gets on the inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Denholm throws a left uppercut, but Betton clinches his opponent.  Betton pushes his forearm into Denholm's face.  The referee warns Betton and breaks the clinch.  
Betton lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Denholm quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Betton connects with a left uppercut.  
Betton advances into close range and throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Betton holds on to his opponent.  Betton leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Betton gets on the inside.  Denholm pivots to the left of his opponent.  Betton lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Betton gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Betton steps inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Betton holds on to his opponent.  Betton leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Betton drives a right hook into Denholm's ribs.  Betton attempts to land a left hook, but Denholm blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Betton steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Betton steps inside and is on target with a right hook to Denholm's body.  
Betton pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  
Betton drives a right hook into Denholm's body.  
Betton lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Denholm tries to land a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Betton lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  Betton wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Denholm has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Betton quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Betton lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Betton lands with a hard jab.  
Denholm closes the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Betton lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Betton lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Betton ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Betton manouvers Denholm into the corner.  Betton lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.

Betton lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Denholm pivots from in front of his opponent.  Betton is on target with a jab to Denholm's body.  
Denholm pivots to the side of his opponent.  Betton lands a ramrod jab.

Betton gets on the inside and drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  Betton tries to land a right uppercut, but Denholm blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Betton clinches his opponent.  Betton hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Betton.
