Boxing Daily Report from the HONEYPUNCH promoted show at Liquid & Envy Nightclub, Portsmouth,  taking place on 04/02/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Dennis MacGuire (5(3) - 0) who hails from Portsmouth, UK and Tommy MacArthur(9 - 8(4) - 4) from Bristol, UK.  Both MacGuire and MacArthur weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Cullen, and the three ringside judges are Ron MacArthur, Frank McCance and Jonathan Calvert.

MacArthur throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  MacGuire holds on to his opponent.  MacGuire is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
MacGuire SLAMS a HUGE cross into his opponents face.  MACARTHUR WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
MacArthur closes the distance.  MacGuire is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  MacGuire lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, DROPPING MACARTHUR TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 7.  It looks like MacArthur has now recovered from that shot earlier.

MacGuire sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  MacArthur has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
MacGuire is looking to keep his distance and drives a stinging jab into his opponents face.  
MacArthur is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  MacArthur tries to land a left hook, but MacGuire sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.

MacGuire steps to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
MacArthur throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
MacArthur steps inside.  MacGuire pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a stinging left hook to MacArthur's ribs.  
MacGuire tries to keep the action at long range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
MacArthur closes the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping MacGuire on the ropes.  MacGuire throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores MacArthur's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

MacGuire lands a big cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACARTHUR WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  MacArthur quickly recovers. 
MacArthur stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  MacGuire lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MACARTHUR!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is MacGuire!
