Syed Sultan vs Alen Ikhouria

Boxing Daily Report from the Ofosu-Ayeh Promotions promoted show at Julius Dyegh Gym, Kano,  taking place on 01/01/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Kano State Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Syed Sultan (18 - 0) who hails from Kano, Nigeria and Alen Ikhouria(3 - 12 - 3) from Kano, Nigeria.  Sultan weighed in at 160 pounds, while Ikhouria weighed in at 159 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Chinedu Shekari, and the three ringside judges are Gbolahan Lagelu, Chris Adebola and Josh Ladipo.  

Round 1: 

Sultan advances into close range and attempts to land a left uppercut, but Ikhouria sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Ikhouria sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ikhouria attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Sultan's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Sultan advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Sultan steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Sultan digs in a left hook to Ikhouria's body.  
Sultan closes the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ikhouria throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Sultan time to recover.  
Ikhouria attempts to land a jab, but Sultan dodges the shot and counters with a cross.
