Dave Pherson vs Michael Clews

Boxing Daily Report from the John Wayne promoted show at Indianapolis Nourse, Indianapolis,  taking place on 04/01/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Indiana Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Pherson (6 - 14 - 1) who hails from Indianapolis, USA and Michael Clews(8 - 4 - 3) from Indianapolis, USA.  Pherson weighed in at 159 pounds and 15 ounces, while Clews weighed in at 160 pounds and 15 ounces.    As Clews came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Sam Skilling, and the three ringside judges are Bob Nabb, Isaac Wishart and Joseph Nicolson.
