Mark Sprout vs Jonathan Matherson

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Agganis Arena, Boston,  taking place on 14/01/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mark Sprout (29(23) - 1) who hails from Thornton, USA and Jonathan Matherson(28(19) - 1) from Boston, USA.  Both Sprout and Matherson weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bilal Elbaz, and the three ringside judges are Leo McAffee, Vincent Weale and Peter Cooper.
