David Ashland vs Spencer Gowen

Boxing Daily Report from the No Limit promoted show at Mandale Gym, Melbourne,  taking place on 18/01/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Victoria Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Ashland (1 - 4(1) - 3) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Spencer Gowen(18 - 24(4) - 2) from Melbourne, Australia.  Both Ashland and Gowen weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Owen MacCallum, and the three ringside judges are Sammy Lorimer, Alastair MacIntyre and Alen Hogarth.  

Round 1: 

Gowen hits home with a cross.  
Ashland sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gowen is on target with a left uppercut.  
Gowen closes the distance and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
As Ashland tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Gowen has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Gowen lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Ashland digs in a left hook to Gowen's liver.
