Pablo Mendes vs Diego Lupercio

Boxing Daily Report from the Nzeyi Promotions promoted show at Alfonso Barbo Gym, Belo Horizonte,  taking place on 20/01/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Minas Gerais Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Pablo Mendes (15 - 24(2) - 2) who hails from Belo Horizonte, Brazil and Diego Lupercio(10(5) - 3) from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.  Mendes weighed in at 154 pounds, while Lupercio weighed in at 153 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Alano Portanova, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Porro, Leonel Cardoza and Leonel Cardoza.  

Round 1: 

Lupercio is looking to close the distance.  Lupercio pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Lupercio lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Mendes throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.
