Malvolio Resto vs Diego Jara

Boxing Daily Report from the fresh start promoted show at Havana Rosales, Havana,  taking place on 29/01/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Cuba-Havana Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Malvolio Resto (19(6) - 1) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Diego Jara(21 - 20(5) - 11) from Havana, Cuba.  Both Resto and Jara weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Llamas, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Olguin, Ulises Lagos and Luis Escobedo.  

Round 1:

Resto forces Jara to retreat into a corner.  Resto lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Resto holds on to his opponent.  Resto is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Resto and breaks the clinch.

Resto is looking to close the distance and walks Jara down, trapping him in the corner.  Resto digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Jara sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Resto lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Jara attempts to land a jab, but Resto sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut to Jara's body.  
Resto gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Resto sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Resto pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Jara dabs at his face checking for damage.

Jara steps to the outside.  Resto feints a right, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Resto is on target with a sharp left hook to Jara's body.  
Resto closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Jara almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Resto manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Resto sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Resto lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND SENDS JARA TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.

Resto lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Jara quickly recovers.

The winner by KO is Resto!
