Macario Tamayo vs Callum Collinson

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Missouri promoted show at St. Louis Palm, St. Louis,  taking place on 08/01/2040:

Clearly AI USA-Missouri have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Macario Tamayo (11(8) - 0) who hails from Santa Clara, Cuba and Callum Collinson(2 - 3(1) - 2) from Raleigh, USA.  Tamayo weighed in at 107 pounds and 15 ounces, while Collinson weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dom Quinn, and the three ringside judges are Antwan Dougherty, Mick Bihl and Dom Quinn.  

Round 1: 

Tamayo gets on the inside.  Collinson throws a left hook, but Tamayo ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Tamayo pushes his forearm into Collinson's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Tamayo sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Collinson throws a right hook, but Tamayo holds on to his opponent.  Tamayo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Tamayo lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Tamayo pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a solid left hook.  
Tamayo lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  Tamayo holds on to his opponent.  Tamayo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Tamayo uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Collinson behind the head. 
Tamayo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tamayo connects with a MASSIVE right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE COLLINSON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Tamayo holds on to his opponent.  Tamayo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Tamayo about fouling.  Collinson quickly recovers. 
Tamayo walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Tamayo pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Collinson recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Collinson is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Collinson stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Tamayo tries to land a jab, but Collinson sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Tamayo is on target with a left hook to Collinson's ribs.  
Tamayo lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Tamayo advances into close range.  Tamayo pivots from in front of his opponent.  Collinson is on target with a left uppercut.  
Collinson steps to the outside.  Tamayo contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Collinson tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Tamayo gets on the inside.  Tamayo voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Collinson steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Tamayo lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Tamayo is looking to close the distance and hits home with a firm right hook.  
Tamayo lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  Tamayo clinches his opponent.  Tamayo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Tamayo digs in a sharp right hook to Collinson's ribcage.  
Tamayo lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Tamayo lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Collinson recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Tamayo digs in a solid left uppercut to Collinson's body.  Tamayo attempts to land a left uppercut, but Collinson blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Tamayo advances into close range and hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Tamayo hits home with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Collinson's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Collinson's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Tamayo is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Tamayo connects with a hurtful cross.  COLLINSON IS DOWN!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Tamayo!
