Robert Betton vs John Flower

Boxing Daily Report from the Mandale Boxing Promotions promoted show at Kingston Woodhouse, Kingston,  taking place on 17/01/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Robert Betton (3(1) - 0) who hails from Portmore, Jamaica and John Flower(0 - 2) from Kingston, Jamaica.  Betton weighed in at 130 pounds, while Flower weighed in at 129 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark Spotswood, and the three ringside judges are Gareth Stater, Rob Nivison and Rob Tedford.  

Round 1: 

Betton gets on the inside.  Flower throws a left uppercut, but Betton clinches his opponent.  Betton pushes his forearm into Flower's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Betton to stop fouling.  
Betton lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Flower hits home with a right uppercut.  Flower attempts to land a jab, but Betton slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Betton hits home with a hard jab.  
Betton is looking to close the distance.  Betton pivots to the side of his opponent.  Betton lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Betton clinches his opponent.  Betton throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Betton lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Flower tries to keep the action at long range.  Betton hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Betton advances into close range and manouvers Flower into the corner.  Betton hits home with a right hook.  
Betton closes the distance.  Betton quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Betton feints a cross, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Betton steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Betton throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Betton ties up his opponent.  Betton leans on his opponent using all his weight. Betton throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Betton hits home with a left uppercut.  
Betton lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Betton has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Betton throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps.  Betton clinches his opponent.  Betton tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Flower's kidney. 
Betton is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Flower attempts to land a left hook, but Betton slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Betton lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Betton lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Betton lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Betton lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Betton drives a stinging right hook into his opponents body.  
Flower attempts to land a right hook, but Betton blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Betton pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Flower is looking to keep his distance.  Betton lands a ramrod jab.  
Flower sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Flower throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Flower tries to step out of his opponents range.  Betton lands a cross to the head, a jab to the body and an overhand left to the head.  
Betton lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Flower throws a left hook, but Betton clinches his opponent.  Betton leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Flower tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Betton behind the head. 
Betton throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Betton clinches his opponent.  Betton leans on his opponent using all his weight. Betton hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Flower is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Betton hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Betton is looking to close the distance and walks Flower into a corner.  Betton pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS FLOWER TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Flower quickly recovers. 
Betton lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Flower feints a jab, but Betton ignores the feint and responds with a right hook.  
Betton gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Betton is looking to close the distance.  Flower tries to land a right hook, but Betton blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook to Flower's body.  
Betton lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Betton lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Betton pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Betton is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Betton is on target with a right uppercut to Flower's body.  
Betton lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
The right shot from Betton could be enough to force the stoppage!  Betton lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, DROPPING FLOWER TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Flower has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Some sustained pressure from Betton could be enough to finish Flower!  Betton lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING FLOWER DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Betton!
