Bob Niven vs Daniel Lurie

Boxing Daily Report from the James Saint-Claire promoted show at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 03/02/2040:

Clearly James Saint-Claire have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bob The Next Big Thing Niven (35(13) - 2) who hails from Gold Coast, Australia and Daniel Lurie(18 - 12(2) - 2) from Brisbane, Australia.  Niven weighed in at 134 pounds and 9 ounces, while Lurie weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arran Brown, and the three ringside judges are Billy Pryce, Paul Phaup and Chris Weir.  

Round 1: 

Niven feints a left, and then lands with a solid jab.  
Niven switches the action to the outside.  Niven feints a cross, and then lands with a sharp jab.  
Niven feints a cross, and then lands a spiteful jab.  
Niven feints a right hook, and then connects with a firm cross.  
Lurie steps inside.  Niven hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Lurie advances into close range and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Niven ties up his opponent.  Lurie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lurie about fouling.  
Niven is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Lurie manages to force Niven onto the ropes.  Lurie tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Niven feints a right hook, and then is on target with a jab.

Niven is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a solid jab.

Niven tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Niven steps away from his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Niven lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Niven throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Niven sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Niven lands a VICIOUS left hook.  LURIE IS HURT!  Niven throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Lurie forces Niven to retreat onto the ropes.  Niven knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Niven lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head, AND LURIE IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  Lurie now seems to have his senses back.  
Niven lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Niven steps to the outside and lands an overhand left.

Niven is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Lurie recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Lurie advances into close range and walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Niven throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Niven tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a ramrod jab.  
Niven lands a ramrod jab.

Niven is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Lurie closes the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Niven on the ropes.  Niven is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Niven's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Lurie's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Lurie throws a left uppercut, but Niven ties up his opponent.  Niven pushes his forearm into Lurie's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Niven tries to keep the action at long range.  Niven feints a cross, and then hits home with a stiff jab.  
Niven finds the target with a jab.  
Niven finds the target with a jab.  
Niven is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Lurie closes the distance.  Niven lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Niven steps to the outside.  Niven is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Niven lands two right uppercuts to the body, and one to the head, AND DOWN GOES LURIE!  The count reaches 10, but Lurie is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Niven!
