Barry Mattix vs George Irving

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Edwards Hall, Miami,  taking place on 18/02/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Barry Mattix (13(12) - 1) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and George Irving(8 - 5 - 2) from Tampa, USA.  Both Mattix and Irving weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Trevino, and the three ringside judges are Kenzie Calley, Vince Wood and Rob Crumb.

Mattix connects with a WICKED cross.  IRVING WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Irving almost instantly gets his legs back.

Irving is looking to close the distance.  Mattix is on target with a hurtful left hook.  IRVING WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Mattix is looking to keep his distance.  Mattix senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Irving and just needs the right shot.  Mattix DETONATES a nasty left hook on his opponents face.  IRVING IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  It looks like Irving has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Mattix connects with a firm left uppercut.  
Mattix is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Irving recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mattix lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Irving closes the distance and manages to force Mattix onto the ropes.  Mattix lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Mattix clinches his opponent.  Mattix leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Irving has taken some damage there.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.

Mattix tries to step out of his opponents range.  Mattix sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.
