Colin Groves vs Ricardo Mattos

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Agganis Arena, Boston,  taking place on 18/02/2040:

Clearly Gore Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Colin Groves (10(3) - 1) who hails from Boston, USA and Ricardo Mattos(10 - 5(1) - 1) from Córdoba, Argentina.  Groves weighed in at 111 pounds And 11 ounces, while Mattos weighed in at 111 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Richard Gwenn, and the three ringside judges are Mike Stobie, Dave Greenan and Owen Saunders.  

Round 1: 

Groves gets on the inside and digs in a stinging right hook to Mattos's ribs.  Groves clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Groves pushes his forearm into Mattos's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Groves to stop fouling.  
Groves lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Groves ties up his opponent.  Groves leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Mattos is looking to keep his distance and finds the target with a jab.  
Groves closes the distance and throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Groves clinches his opponent.  Groves leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
