Gervasio Mirando vs Roger Mau

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles,  taking place on 17/03/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Iron Gervasio Mirando (65(60) - 4(2)) who hails from Las Vegas, USA and Roger Mau(27 - 3(2)) from Johor Bahru, Malaysia.  Mirando weighed in at 114 pounds and 14 ounces, while Mau weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Theo Carson, and the three ringside judges are Cris Villagomez, Robert Christopher and Haaris Hamad.  

Round 1: 

Mau pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Mau advances into close range.  Mirando is on target with a stinging left hook to Mau's liver.  Mirando attempts to land a left hook, but Mau blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Mirando's body.  
Mirando switches the action to the outside.  Mirando feints a left hook, and then is on target with a ramrod jab.  
Mau drives a right uppercut into Mirando's ribcage.  
Mau gets on the inside and drives a right uppercut into Mirando's body.  
Mau is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut to Mau's ribs.  
Mau gets on the inside and tries to land a left hook, but Mirando parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mirando hits home with a left hook.  
Mau steps inside.  Mirando is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Mau lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mirando switches the action to the outside and hits home with a stinging cross.  
Mau is looking to close the distance.  Mau pivots to the side of his opponent.  Mau tries to land a left uppercut, but Mirando slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mirando steps to the outside.  Mirando quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a solid cross.  
Mau steps inside and manouvers Mirando onto the ropes.  Mau pivots to the side of his opponent.  Mirando drives a sharp left hook into Mau's liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mirando's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Mirando's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Mirando steps to the outside.  Mirando is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Mau throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Mau gets on the inside.  Mirando lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Mirando lands a straight 1 - 2.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Mau recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mirando steps to the outside and lands a sharp cross.  
Mirando attempts to land a cross, but Mau slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Mirando's ribs.  
Mirando steps away from his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Mau steps inside and connects with a right hook.  
Mirando digs in a left hook to Mau's body.  
Mau manages to force Mirando onto the ropes.  Mirando hits home with a left uppercut.  
Mirando lands an overhand right to the head, a cross to the head and a jab to the body.  
Mirando sidesteps to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a hard jab.  
Mau tries to land a jab, but Mirando sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  That punch caused slight damage to the nose.  
Mau steps inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Mirando blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook to Mau's body.  
Mirando attempts to land a cross, but Mau slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mau advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Mirando on the ropes.  Mirando is on target with a solid left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Mirando is looking to keep his distance and DETONATES a VICIOUS cross on his opponents face.  MAU WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Mirando thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Mau away.  Mirando lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MAU!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Mau now seems to have got his legs back.  
Mau gets on the inside.  Mirando connects with a sharp right uppercut.  
Mirando steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Mau recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mau manages to force Mirando onto the ropes.  Mau lands a right hook.  
Mirando is on target with a solid right hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Mau's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Mau steps inside.  Mau pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Mirando lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Mau steps inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Mirando sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Mirando is on target with a CRUSHING right hook.  MAU IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  Mau now seems to have his senses back.  
Mirando is looking to keep his distance and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Mirando throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Mirando's body.  
Mau steps inside.  Mirando is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Mirando lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS MAU SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Mirando!
