Vashon Odindo vs Mason Wathika

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Machakos promoted show at Michael Semenya Gym, Kangundo-Tala,  taking place on 27/02/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Machakos Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vashon Odindo (1 - 5 - 1) who hails from Kangundo-Tala, Kenya and Mason Wathika(4 - 10 - 3) from Kangundo-Tala, Kenya.  Both Odindo and Wathika weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jamar Kosgei, and the three ringside judges are Sam Adoyo, Chike Maru and Ian Elmi.  

Round 1: 

Odindo advances into close range.  Wathika pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Odindo switches the action to the outside and lands a cross.  
Odindo switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Odindo steps inside and walks his opponent into a corner.  Odindo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Wathika tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.

Odindo lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Wathika hits home with an overhand right.  
Wathika lands a left uppercut.  
Wathika connects with a right uppercut.  
Wathika closes the distance.  Wathika quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Odindo lands a left hook.
