Vegas Vallez vs Edmundo Gabriel

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Mexico State promoted show at Ecatepec Hinojos, Ecatepec,  taking place on 27/02/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Mexico State Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vegas Vallez (6 - 14(1) - 4) who hails from Tlalnepantla, Mexico and Edmundo Gabriel(4 - 9 - 1) from Naucalpan, Mexico.  Vallez weighed in at 139 pounds and 8 ounces, while Gabriel weighed in at 139 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Diego Delaguila, and the three ringside judges are Sierra Zorrilla, Carlos Mazariegos and Dario Montes.

Gabriel closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Gabriel.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Vallez advances into close range and throws a right hook, but is unable to find the target.  Vallez holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Vallez pushes his forearm into Gabriel's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
