Angel Zegarra vs Antonio Rios

Boxing Daily Report from the Mugyenyi Promotions promoted show at Isidro Bustillo Gym, Reynosa,  taking place on 29/02/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Tamaulipas Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Angel Zegarra (11 - 8) who hails from Ciudad Victoria, Mexico and Antonio Rios(9 - 10 - 2) from Matamoros, Mexico.  Zegarra weighed in at 129 pounds and 9 ounces, while Rios weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Angel Albo, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Franco, Santiago Badia and Xeres Sevilla.  

Round 1: 

Zegarra is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into Rios's ribs.  
Zegarra manouvers Rios onto the ropes.  Zegarra is on target with a left uppercut to Rios's ribs.  
Rios manages to force Zegarra into a neutral corner.  Zegarra drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Rios advances into close range and lands a right hook.  
Zegarra hits home with a right uppercut.  
Rios forces Zegarra to retreat into the red corner.  Rios is on target with a left uppercut.  
Zegarra closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Rios.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Zegarra's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Rios's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.
