Jack Salaysay vs Diego Almendarez

Boxing Daily Report from the Run Forficula promoted show at Jasper Ayuyao Gym, San Jose del Monte,  taking place on 12/02/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jack Salaysay (12(3) - 5 - 2) who hails from Dasmarinas, Philippines and Diego Almendarez(10(3) - 1(1)) from Cagayan de Oro, Philippines.  Both Salaysay and Almendarez weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ivan Malbog, and the three ringside judges are Mason Acob, Alejandro Unabia and Jesus Bacallao.  

Round 1: 

Almendarez advances into close range and attempts to land a left uppercut, but Salaysay blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.
