Myung-joo Jeon vs Ui-jo Pak

Boxing Daily Report from the Asabigi Promotions promoted show at Min-hyeok No Gym, Chungju,  taking place on 03/03/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Korea-North Chungcheong Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Myung-joo Jeon (2 - 0) who hails from Cheongju, South Korea and Ui-jo Pak(4 - 10 - 3) from Cheongju, South Korea.  Jeon weighed in at 121 pounds And 12 ounces, while Pak weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chan-dong Whang, and the three ringside judges are Kee-hee Pu, Woo-young Koh and Jeong-ho Choi.  

Round 1: 

Jeon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Jeon closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Jeon holds on to his opponent.  Jeon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Jeon is on target with a firm left hook to Pak's body.  
Jeon walks Pak down, trapping him on the ropes.  Jeon lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Jeon is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Jeon clinches his opponent.  Jeon pushes his forearm into Pak's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Jeon closes the distance and lands a stinging right uppercut.  
Jeon pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.

Jeon is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Pak throws a right hook, but Jeon clinches his opponent.  Jeon tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Pak behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pak's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Pak's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Jeon manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Jeon lands a solid left uppercut.  Jeon wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Pak has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
