Soner Balta vs Goker Eroglu

Boxing Daily Report from the Jumbo Promotions promoted show at Murat Gruda Gym, Ankara,  taking place on 04/03/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Turkey-Ankara Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Soner Balta (10 - 5 - 3) who hails from Ankara, Turkey and Goker Eroglu(4 - 8) from Ankara, Turkey.  Balta weighed in at 125 pounds and 12 ounces, while Eroglu weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Altan Rustu, and the three ringside judges are Goker Arap, Cemil Skender and Suleiman Nazmi.  

Round 1: 

Balta lands a left hook.  
Eroglu steps inside and is on target with a left hook.

Eroglu gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  
Balta finds the target with a jab.  
Eroglu closes the distance.  Eroglu pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into Balta's body.  As Eroglu tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Balta dabs at his face checking for damage.  Balta has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
