Desiderio Marin vs Zelipe Sanchez

Boxing Daily Report from the Habe Promotions promoted show at Quito Velarde, Quito,  taking place on 11/03/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Desiderio Marin (19 - 1) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Zelipe Sanchez(11 - 14(2) - 3) from Quito, Ecuador.  Marin weighed in at 134 pounds and 12 ounces, while Sanchez weighed in at 136 pounds.    As Sanchez came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Paco Florez, and the three ringside judges are Juan Cuervo, Ovidio Vallez and Desiderio Medero.  

Round 1: 

Marin waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Sanchez attempts to land a jab, but Marin slips the shot and counters with a left hook.
