Gethin Dennie vs Waqas Saladin

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at California Memorial Stadium, San Francisco,  taking place on 11/04/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gethin Hitman Dennie (45(33) - 2(1) - 1) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Waqas Saladin(33(3) - 8(7)) from Mashhad, Iran.  Dennie weighed in at 130 pounds, while Saladin weighed in at 129 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Henry Franco, and the three ringside judges are Rob Fulton, Noel Bertram and Mason Boyter.  

Round 1: 

Dennie is on target with a stinging jab.  
Dennie sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Dennie attempts to land a jab, but Saladin slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Saladin walks Dennie onto the ropes.  Dennie is on target with a firm left uppercut to Saladin's body.  
Dennie steps to the outside and is on target with a sharp jab.  
Saladin steps inside.  Dennie lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Dennie is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Dennie DETONATES a spiteful right hook on his opponents face.  SALADIN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Saladin now seems to have his senses back.  
Dennie tries to step out of his opponents range and drives a spiteful jab into his opponents face.  
Dennie lands a hard jab.  
Saladin attempts to land a cross, but Dennie blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Dennie lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Dennie throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Dennie tries to keep the action at long range.  Saladin lands a cross.  Saladin tries to land a cross, but Dennie parries the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Dennie lands a solid overhand right.  
Saladin throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Dennie lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Dennie thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Saladin away.  Dennie lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS SALADIN TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Saladin now seems to have his senses back.  
Dennie attempts to land an overhand left, but Saladin sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Dennie lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Saladin is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Some sustained pressure from Dennie could be enough to finish Saladin!  Dennie SLAMS a FEARSOME right uppercut into his opponents face.  DOWN GOES SALADIN!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Saladin has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Dennie drives a firm left hook into Saladin's liver.  
Saladin gets on the inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Dennie parries the shot and counters with a CRUSHING left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE SALADIN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Saladin recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Saladin's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Saladin's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Saladin's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Saladin attempts to land a cross, but Dennie blocks the shot and counters with a big right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE SALADIN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Saladin could be stopped here, if Dennie can find the right shot!  Dennie lands a WICKED left hook.  SALADIN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Dennie!
