Harry Chitwa vs John Sigundu

Boxing Daily Report from the Daduryan Promotions promoted show at Lusaka Kambaenda, Lusaka,  taking place on 17/03/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Zambia Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ZNBC, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Harry Chitwa (22(15) - 2(1) - 1) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and John Sigundu(4 - 2 - 1) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Chitwa weighed in at 140 pounds, while Sigundu weighed in at 139 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mashawn Nkandu, and the three ringside judges are Diallo Mbilila, Duante Muzandu and Roshaun Mooka.  

Round 1: 

Sigundu steps inside.  Chitwa lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  Chitwa holds on to his opponent.  Chitwa pushes his forearm into Sigundu's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Chitwa lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Chitwa holds on to his opponent.  Chitwa pushes his forearm into Sigundu's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Chitwa drives a left hook into his opponents liver.

Chitwa walks Sigundu down, trapping him on the ropes.  Chitwa hits home with a solid left hook.  Chitwa holds on to his opponent.  Chitwa pushes his forearm into Sigundu's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Chitwa leans on his opponent using all his weight. Chitwa pushes his forearm into Sigundu's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Chitwa to stop fouling.

Chitwa lands a right hook.  Chitwa ties up his opponent.  Chitwa leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Chitwa's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Chitwa digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Chitwa feints a right hook, and then lands a cross to the head, a cross to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Chitwa advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Chitwa cuts off the ring, trapping Sigundu in a corner.  Chitwa is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  Chitwa ties up his opponent.  Chitwa leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Chitwa tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Sigundu behind the head. The referee warns Chitwa and breaks the clinch.

Chitwa advances into close range and digs in a stinging right uppercut to Sigundu's body.  
Chitwa closes the distance and lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Chitwa lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Chitwa connects with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sigundu's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Sigundu's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Sigundu gets on the inside.  Chitwa pivots from in front of his opponent.  Sigundu throws a right hook, but Chitwa clinches his opponent.  Chitwa leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Chitwa lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Chitwa ties up his opponent.  Chitwa is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Chitwa to stop holding.  
Chitwa closes the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head, DROPPING SIGUNDU TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Sigundu quickly recovers. 
Sigundu sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Chitwa lands a stinging right hook.  
Chitwa walks Sigundu down, trapping him in the red corner.  Chitwa lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Chitwa lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Chitwa steps inside and lands a right hook.  
Sigundu hits home with a cross.  
Chitwa is looking to close the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.

Chitwa lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.

As Chitwa tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sigundu dabs at his face checking for damage.

Chitwa forces Sigundu to back into a corner.  Chitwa lands a HUGE left hook.  SIGUNDU WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  The ref is taking a close look at Sigundu.  He takes another big shot from his opponent and the ref stops the action!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Chitwa!
