Gyn Russell vs John Kendrick

Boxing Daily Report from the L2LBoxingPromotions promoted show at Martyn Nixon Gym, Cardiff,  taking place on 19/03/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Wales Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gyn Russell (7 - 15(3) - 4) who hails from Swansea, UK and John Kendrick(12 - 9(3)) from Cardiff, UK.  Russell weighed in at 108 pounds, while Kendrick weighed in at 107 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dale Carrick, and the three ringside judges are Joshua Gillespie, Mark MacNevin and Glyn Bowen.  

Round 1: 

Russell advances into close range.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Kendrick has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Russell finds the target with a jab.  
Russell walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Kendrick hits home with a left hook.  
Russell closes the distance.  Kendrick connects with a left uppercut.  
Russell closes the distance and forces Kendrick to back into the blue corner.  Russell lands a right hook.  
Russell quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Kendrick quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Russell lands a cross.
