Sam Jones vs Danny Winning

Boxing Daily Report from the CP Boxing promoted show at Georgetown Riach, Georgetown,  taking place on 23/03/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Guyana-North Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sam Jones (16 - 8) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Danny Winning(2 - 7 - 1) from Georgetown, Guyana.  Jones weighed in at 244 pounds and 5 ounces, while Winning weighed in at 235 pounds and 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Matt Hopper, and the three ringside judges are Dom Seeton, John Sprouse and Robert Sproat.  

Round 1: 

Jones switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.

Jones pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Jones dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Jones lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Jones is looking to keep his distance and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Winning lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Jones gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Jones is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Jones wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Winning has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
