Alec Mahoney vs Henry McVay

Boxing Daily Report from the HBLUE Promotions promoted show at Belle Vue Stadium, Manchester,  taking place on 14/04/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alec Mahoney (6(3) - 0) who hails from Blackburn, UK and Henry McVay(12 - 10(1) - 3) from Nottingham, UK.  Both Mahoney and McVay weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Goff, and the three ringside judges are Owen Saunders, Rodric Valentine and Hugh Hyland.  

Round 1: 

Mahoney finds the target with a sharp jab.  
Mahoney tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a jab.

McVay tries to keep the action at long range.  Mahoney feints a cross, tricking McVay into launching a right hook counter.  Mahoney springs the trap and counters with  a right uppercut.

Mahoney closes the distance.  Mahoney pivots to the left of his opponent.  Mahoney connects with a right uppercut.  Mahoney clinches his opponent.  Mahoney is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Mahoney steps away from his opponent.  Mahoney is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Mahoney lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND MCVAY IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Mahoney whips in a spiteful right hook to McVay's ribs.  MCVAY HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  It looks like McVay has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Mahoney snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Mahoney circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  McVay throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Mahoney lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Mahoney tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mahoney lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Mahoney tries to step out of his opponents range and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.

Mahoney switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Mahoney is on target with a stinging jab.

Mahoney lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mahoney advances into close range.  McVay throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.
