Vince Viana vs Dave Poyner

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Oregon promoted show at Oregon State Fair & Expo Center Cascade Hall, Salem,  taking place on 10/04/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Pacific Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vince Viana (39(33) - 10(9)) who hails from Anaheim, USA and Dave Poyner(36(4) - 16(7)) from Portland, USA.  Both Viana and Poyner weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Theo Wight, and the three ringside judges are Gregor Riach, Edward Waldie and Floyd Esson.  

Round 1: 

Viana lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Viana connects with a stinging cross.  
Poyner lands a left uppercut.  
Poyner is on target with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Viana is looking to keep his distance and lands a sharp cross.  
Viana is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Poyner recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Viana lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS POYNER SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Poyner now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

Viana is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Poyner sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Viana throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Poyner time to recover.

Poyner lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Poyner cuts off the ring, trapping Viana on the ropes.  Poyner lands a right hook.  Poyner throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.

Viana tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a sharp overhand right.  
Poyner hits home with a left hook.  Poyner tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Poyner lands with a sharp jab.  Poyner attempts to land a jab, but Viana sidesteps and counters with a forceful left uppercut to his opponents body.  POYNER IS HURT!
