Neper Puerta vs Gervasio Marciel

Boxing Daily Report from the Yalley Promotions promoted show at Guayaquil Mesa, Guayaquil,  taking place on 13/04/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Neper Puerta (15 - 22(1)) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Gervasio Marciel(4(3) - 1) from Duran, Ecuador.  Puerta weighed in at 199 pounds and 13 ounces, while Marciel weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Corzo, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Andrada, Vicente Tamez and Oro Barahona.  

Round 1:

Puerta leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Marciel is whaling away with hooks, but Puerta keeps his defence tight.  Marciel throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Puerta time to recover.

Marciel is looking to force the stoppage!  Marciel lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head, DROPPING PUERTA TO THE CANVAS!  The count reaches 10, but Puerta is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Marciel!
