James Groves vs Claudio Saporito

Boxing Daily Report from the Australia Boxing Council promoted show at Brisbane McCorkel, Brisbane,  taking place on 15/04/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Groves (14 - 9(4)) who hails from Gold Coast, Australia and Claudio Saporito(7 - 4(1) - 4) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Groves and Saporito weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Donohoe, and the three ringside judges are Michael Boyle, William Ferries and Paul Phaup.  

Round 1: 

Groves advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Groves lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Groves lands with a stiff jab.  
Saporito manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Groves snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.

Groves closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Groves holds on to his opponent.  Groves leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Groves throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head.

Saporito is not fighting as well as he'd like.   He throws a low uppercut...that landed well below the belt! The ref separates the two fighters and tells Saporito to keep his punches up.  He gives Groves a few minutes to recover.
