Veltry Mpontshane vs Useni Douna

Boxing Daily Report from the Soweto Punch Pros promoted show at Barnyard Theatre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 30/03/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Veltry Mpontshane (1 - 0) who hails from Pretoria, South Africa and Useni Douna(5 - 0 - 1) from Soweto, South Africa.  Both Mpontshane and Douna weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jackson Mnyamane, and the three ringside judges are Xhosas Kwadwo, Aenas Van der Walt and Colin Ntambwe.  

Round 1: 

Mpontshane pivots to the side of his opponent.  Mpontshane lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Mpontshane clinches his opponent. Mpontshane leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Mpontshane walks Douna down, trapping him in a corner.  Mpontshane drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  Mpontshane ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mpontshane pushes his forearm into Douna's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mpontshane to stop fouling.

Mpontshane leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Douna accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Mpontshane.

Mpontshane is looking to close the distance.  Douna pivots from in front of his opponent.  Douna tries to land a right hook, but Mpontshane sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Douna switches the action to the outside.  Mpontshane lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Mpontshane lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Mpontshane throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Douna steps to the outside.  Mpontshane lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mpontshane gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Mpontshane holds on to his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Douna connects with a cross.  
Douna switches the action to the outside.  Mpontshane is on target with an overhand right.  
Douna throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Mpontshane to the neutral corner.  He threatens Douna with a point deduction if he keeps fouling.  
Mpontshane advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Douna's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Douna's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
