Michael Hughes vs John Malles

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Lazy E Arena, Oklahoma City,  taking place on 21/04/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Michael Hughes (32(13) - 2(1) - 1) who hails from Detroit, USA and John Malles(20(11) - 1 - 1) from Pittsburgh, USA.  Hughes weighed in at 117 pounds and 14 ounces, while Malles weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arthur Wallace, and the three ringside judges are Robert Braddick, George Lithgow and John Galatas.
