Jamie Buik vs Cody Spens

Boxing Daily Report from the JC Promotions promoted show at Jay MacClelland Gym, Gloucester,  taking place on 19/04/2040:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Southern England Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jamie Buik (7 - 4(1) - 4) who hails from Cambridge, UK and Cody Spens(4 - 3 - 4) from London, UK.  Both Buik and Spens weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Heriot, and the three ringside judges are Bob Slatter, Hayden Maguire and Dom Pullar.  

Round 1: 

Spens sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Buik connects with a cross.  
Spens closes the distance and drives a right uppercut into Buik's body.
