Carlos Verano vs Santiago Torno

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Dominican Republic-Santo Domingo promoted show at Santo Domingo Este Coria, Santo Domingo Este,  taking place on 22/04/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Dominican Republic-Santo Domingo Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CERTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Carlos Verano (13(9) - 0) who hails from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic and Santiago Torno(6 - 6 - 1) from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic. Verano advances into close range.  Verano senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Torno and just needs the right shot.  Verano lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND DROPS TORNO!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Torno now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
