Rob Sirigu vs Noel Wightman

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Alabama promoted show at Birmingham Mescall, Birmingham,  taking place on 03/05/2040:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rob Sirigu (6 - 0) who hails from Providence, USA and Noel Wightman(3 - 1) from Little Rock, USA.  Both Sirigu and Wightman weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brin Prentis, and the three ringside judges are Antwan Blain, Owen Leckie and Kenzie Lovett.  

Round 1: 

Sirigu closes the distance and hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Sirigu is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Wightman steps inside.  Sirigu lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Sirigu sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a firm left hook.  
Sirigu lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sirigu lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Wightman tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
Sirigu steps inside.  Sirigu sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Wightman throws a right uppercut, but Sirigu clinches his opponent.  Sirigu is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sirigu waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Wightman tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Sirigu steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Wightman in the red corner.  Sirigu lands a double right hook to his opponents head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Wightman's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Wightman's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Wightman pivots to the right of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Wightman dabs at his face checking for damage.
