Cris Villarruel vs Montel Lantigua

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Bayamon Benito, Bayamon,  taking place on 01/05/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-Bayamon Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Puerto Rico Sports Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cris Villarruel (24 - 14(5) - 3) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Montel Lantigua(41(6) - 12(7) - 1) from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  Villarruel weighed in at 159 pounds and 8 ounces, while Lantigua weighed in at 159 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Juan Bailon, and the three ringside judges are Ovidio Portal, Rico Balcazar and Eduardo Mallen.
