Makalo Muniru vs Tefu Sikali

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Gold Reef Entertainment Centre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 06/05/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Southern African Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Makalo Muniru (15(10) - 2(2)) who hails from Umlazi, South Africa and Tefu Sikali(22 - 12(8)) from Soweto, South Africa.  Muniru weighed in at 140 pounds, while Sikali weighed in at 139 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kofi Magqwaka, and the three ringside judges are Quoitrel Sotyu, Max De Jager and William Ekstein.  

Round 1:

Muniru connects with a stinging cross.  
Muniru is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Muniru throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Sikali walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Muniru stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Muniru lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND SIKALI IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.

Muniru lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook, cross and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS SIKALI TO THE CANVAS!  The ref immediately waves off the fight...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Muniru!
